AIKIDO YOSHINKAN
"Be Better Than Yesterday"
"House of Spiritual Development"
Yoshinkan Aikido is one of the styles of Aikido, based on the principles of traditional Japanese martial arts and developed by Master Gozo Shioda (in the photo). This style focuses on the precision and effectiveness of techniques, as well as a high level of discipline and safety. Yoshinkan is characterized by a systematic and methodical approach to training, which helps students gradually master complex techniques.
Yoshinkan Aikido is considered one of the most rigorous and systematic approaches to Aikido training, with an emphasis on traditional methods and techniques, making it appealing to both beginners and experienced practitioners.
"Where Strength Meets Discipline"
Key features of Yoshinkan Aikido:
- Precision and control: Yoshinkan emphasizes the precision of technique and the use of minimal force to control the opponent. This distinguishes it from other styles of Aikido, where techniques may be more fluid and free-form.
- Discipline and structure: Training in Yoshinkan is strictly structured, with clear stages that allow students to progressively master the art. This includes both physical and mental aspects aimed at developing inner harmony.
- Focus on safety: Safety is a major priority in Yoshinkan, which includes training in breakfalls (proper falling techniques) to minimize the risk of injury while performing techniques.
- Self-development and philosophy: Yoshinkan Aikido is not just a martial art, but a path of self-development that strengthens the spirit, concentration, and inner balance. This style helps to build confidence, harmony, and emotional control.
- Real-life application: While Yoshinkan Aikido is traditionally focused on philosophy and self-improvement, its practical aspects can also be useful in real-life situations, such as self-defense.

"What’s the Cost of Victory?"
"Choose the time for your development"
After the first class, we carefully assess each student to determine how well they fit with Aikido Yoshinkan training. It's important to see how the child or adult handles basic exercises, how comfortable they are in the group, and whether their physical abilities align with our training requirements.
If we observe that the student shows interest and readiness for further learning, we are happy to invite them to regular classes. If, after the first session, we feel that Aikido Yoshinkan may not be the best fit for the student’s individual needs, we will suggest other activities that may better support their development. Our goal is to help everyone find their path and grow in a comfortable and safe environment.
Our groups consist of 10-15 people on average. If you have any questions, please read this section or contact us directly. We will be happy to answer all your questions!
